Everywhere we turn, scientists and physicians are saying that new, never-before seen diseases are emerging, old diseases are mutating into life-threatening species, and our pharmaceutical companies have nothing to combat them with. The future of infection control will prominently include Environmental Disinfection on a scale and level far beyond what we have seen in the past.
But, the process of truly "disinfecting" is much more complex, and the environmental variables that affect disinfection are much more involved than even most professionals realize.
This course is absolutely essential for those persons who may be asked to clean-up and disinfect areas of disease concern related to human/animal/rodent/bird/food, as well as pandemics and other public health hazards. Going far beyond the fundamentals, this course explores deeper into the science of disinfection, decontamination and ways to measure and document the effectiveness of your work in order to create a truly healthy environment. We start with the basics of disease and methodically take you through new methods of cleaning and disabling bacteria, viruses and other microbes in various venues.
This science-heavy course is packed into about nine hours of lectures and quizzes. YOU HAVE 45 DAYS TO COMPLETE THIS COURSE FROM THE TIME YOU REGISTER. You can stop the course and re-open it as needed. You can review each chapter or portion of each chapter as many times as needed until you feel you understand the material. There are quizzes at the end of each chapter. Once you reach the end of the course, you cannot go back. Just like an in-person course, when it's over....it's over.
