Introduction
Advanced Bio-Recovery is the next logical step for those specialists who may be asked to clean-up and decontaminate scenes of animal/rodent/bird waste, tear gas, and other public health hazards. As an advanced course, it also explores deeper into the science of deodorization, decontamination and ways to measure the effectiveness of your work.

• Evaluating commonly used disinfectants; what new classes of antimicrobials are available and what advantages they offer.  Dealing with biofilm, fomites and more. 
• Selecting and using advanced PPE, including PAPR, SCBA, and Level B attire.  SCBA certification, and PAPR fit testing is included.
• The science of Air Scrubbers, air exchange calculations, pressure differentials, and accessories that make sense.
• Understanding the various types of tear gas (CS, CN, OC) and the latest decontamination methods for homes, businesses, vehicles and HVAC systems.  (hands-on)
• Safely cleaning Animal, Bird and Rodent contamination.  This includes understanding vector-carried diseases, zoonotic diseases, transmission methods, containment, cleanup and disposal.
• The latest technology to actually measure effective decontamination of surfaces and allow supervisors to check the work of subordinates or to prove effectiveness to clients.
• Ozone - beyond the on-off switch.  The science behind ozone, dosage formulas, capabilities, hazards, and building ozone chambers.

The course includes classroom as well as hands-on use of all equipment and chemicals. A certificate is awarded to graduates, and Continuing Education Units (or CEU's) may apply from some associations and organizations.
